I am so excited, the pieces are out of the kiln and are awesome. The lighter coloured glass has allowed us to maintain the brush strokes and get the full effect of the painting. And having said that there ain't nothing shabby about the cardinal either. WOW.
Obviously they are much more striking in person than a picture but I had to share. Stay tuned it is only going to get better and thank you to those who are following our blog.

Pieces Will Be In Cape Breton Center for Craft and Design
Here are the first of our attempts to make this process work. We have been successful with some, not with others and some we just didn't like. That the Artist's live. Bob and I both have our own ideas and opinions about the finished pieces and make for what I think is a great collaboration team. We are serious but we also know how to laugh and enjoy what we are doing.
By Feb 10 we will have some of our pieces for sale in the gallery shop at the Center in Sydney.
The first picture is the first firing. The second picture the completed firing.
And the dog is my Millie which I wear proudly.
