First Firing

Okay here are the first firing pictures. The acrylic enamels are now starting to fire into actual glass. These items will go through several more firings, have jewellery findings placed on them and become the finished miniature original glass painting.
I will keep posting updates as we continue to perfect our process.

Kiln Problems

Okay so there won't be pictures today. Being as cold as it is these days in Cape Breton (-30 with wind chill) I have a heater on downstairs along with the kiln, lights and TV. The circuit kept tripping until I finally turned off the heater this morning.
The kiln is now firing up with the pieces inside so I am anxious for the results. Once again stay tuned.

New Paintings

Here are the first of our new paintings for this season. These pieces are before firing. Today we will do the first firing and tomorrow will post those pictures. This process is still in the experimental stages for us but we are determined and very close to perfecting.
